Milford-based Consigli Construction Co.’s Portland, Maine operations have been selected to provide construction management services for Central Maine Medical Center’s (CMMC) 51,000-square-foot expansion and renovation project.

The project will double the size of the existing emergency department and add over 10,000 square feet to the hospital’s laboratory. 

Groundbreaking is scheduled to in the fall. The project will incorporate a three-story addition that will provide a new laboratory on the lower level, new and expanded emergency services on the ground floor and a partial build-out of the new first floor. 

The expansion will also include 11,000 square feet of alterations and updates on the lower level and an additional 25,000 square feet of renovations on the ground floor. 

The project architect is MorrisSwitzer of Portland.
