Construction of The Modern 2, a 37-unit condominium development in Boston, is underway and will be shown to the public this weekend.
Located along Northampton Street in Boston where the South End, Fenway and Back Bay neighborhoods intersect, The Modern 2 will feature a mix of one- and two-bedroom condos ranging in size from 800 square feet to 1,300 square feet.
"The Modern 2 has an amazingly convenient location, and is ideal for buyers who are seeking newly constructed condos at affordable prices in an urban setting," said Ricardo Rodriguez, a sales associate with the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage office in Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood. "Once mostly a collection of industrial and commercial buildings, the neighborhood has become an established location and a popular choice of residence for young professionals and neighbors looking for a fresh and contemporary space."
The interiors will feature upscale finishes such as Italian marble, hardwood floors, custom cabinetry, high-end appliances and floor-to-ceiling windows. Highlights of The Modern 2 will be a common roof-top deck with built-in grills, which will provide more than 4,000 square feet of outdoor living space, and the common areas and lobby, which will be designed by Andrew Terrat and Dee Elms of the renowned Terrat/Elms Interior Design. Garage parking is available for sale starting at $23,000.
Prices for the one-bedroom condos start at $399,000. The model unit will be open to the public on Sunday, May 1 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Construction is expected to be completed by mid-July.
Developed by New Boston Ventures, Metric Corp. and PEG Properties, The Modern 2 will be marketed and sold exclusively by Rodriguez.
The Modern 2 follows the development and sale of the first phase of The Modern, which includes 25 condominiums.
