corelogicCoreLogic, a provider of real estate data and analytics, has acquired Marshall & Swift/Boeckh and DataQuick Information Systems for $661 million.

CoreLogic Chief Financial Officer Frank Martell said that despite the cost of the acquisition, the increased cash flow from the newly acquired companies would allow CoreLogic to expand its 2013 stock repurchases from 5 million to at least 8 million shares.

The transaction is expected to close during the third quarter of 2013.

"The acquisition of MSB and DataQuick significantly expands our footprint in property and casualty insurance and adds additional scale to our existing property data and analytics business. Marshall & Swift/Boeckh provides a range of software and analytics products that help insurers analyze risk; underwrite property insurance coverage and estimate, manage and analyze claims.

DataQuick Information Systems provides credit reporting, flood zone determination services, fraud monitoring, property valuation and automated decision software to mortgage originators and other real estate professionals.
