Worcester-based Cornerstone Bank has expanded into the MetroWest area with a new loan center in Westborough.

Located in the Chauncy Place office building at 45 Lyman St., the loan center will provide Cornerstone’s MetroWest customers with access to its team of mortgage lenders.

“We are thrilled to officially open our doors in Westborough,” Cornerstone Bank President and Treasurer Todd Tallman said in a statement. “Expanding into the MetroWest area was a natural progression for our bank.”

Cornerstone Bank, which has about $1.15 billion in total assets, has 13 other offices in Charlton, Holden, Leicester, Rutland, Southbridge, Spencer, Sturbridge, Warren, Webster and Worcester

“We are extremely excited to welcome customers and team members to the Westborough Loan Center,” Scott Auen, Cornerstone Bank’s senior vice president of retail lending, said in a statement. “Cornerstone Bank delivers a customer experience based on a foundation of trust. We still value a personal touch in the lending process, centered on quick local decision-making and customized solutions.”
