Cummings Properties recently opened 15,000 square feet of fully furnished, small offices and suites at its 100 TradeCenter property in Woburn, and is constructing another 10,000 square feet at the Cummings Center campus in Beverly.
Cummings began offering the more flexible space three years ago at its TradeCenter 128 property in Woburn. It started with 3,500 square feet and quickly grew to 80,000 square feet. A second facility at the neighboring 100 TradeCenter property opened in 2011, and quickly filled as well, the company said.
"Our suites were bursting at the seams, with still more clients interested in them," Cummings Executive Suites General Manager Patricia Whelchel said in a statement. "We had room to expand at 100 TradeCenter, and were presented with a great new opportunity in Beverly."
Woburn’s new offices opened July 1, with 65 percent already leased, the company said. Construction is currently under way in Beverly, and is expected to finish in the next couple of weeks.
The ready-to-use office and conference space will be available for short- and long-term use, and will offer workplace services including telephone answering, mail handling, a professional receptionist and free WiFi.
Whelchel noted that the offices cater to sole proprietors, startups and branch and satellite facilities for regional, national and Fortune 500 firms.
