Cummings Properties is adding a pair of biotech startups to newly-converted lab space at its Medford campus.

Myrobalan Therapeutics and Sunflower Therapeutics leased a combined 8,500 square feet at 200 Boston Ave.

Founded in 2021 and previously located in Watertown, Myrobalan Therapeutics is researching treatments for neurological disorders.

Sunflower Therapeutics, founded in 2018, consolidated its R&D and manufacturing space from Hingham to a 4,000-square-foot space.

Both of the suites were recently converted into biosafety level 2 facilities by Cummings’ in-house design-build team.

Colliers’ Tim Allen, John Carroll III and Caitlin Mahoney represented the tenants in the lease negotiations with Cummings Senior Leasing Director Mike Truesdale.

Cummings also is adding three pre-built lab suites, which will be ready for occupancy this summer, at the property.
