An oceanfront inn on Cape Cod has sold for several million dollars.

The Inn on the Sound, a bed and breakfast at 313 Grand Ave. in Falmouth, sold on Jan. 25 for $3.25 million, according to public records. The property is assessed at $1.33 million, according to Falmouth property records.

The listing agent was Jeff Eklund, vice president of real estate sales for Commercial Realty Advisors Inc.

Constructed in 1872, the inn has been renovated to provide modern-day luxuries, Eklund said in a statement. The inn has 11 guest rooms and amenities include private balconies and ocean views. Guests enjoy gourmet, homemade breakfasts served daily in the dining room.

The new owner, Jon Saunders of Triple S Hospitality LLC, also owns The Beacon Luxury Inn in Hull and is adding this site in Falmouth to his portfolio, Eklund said. He plans to continue running the Inn on the Sound as a high-end bed and breakfast.
