Philip NashPhilip Nash, previously a general contractor and builder, has joined the Hingham office of Jack Conway, Realtor.

Before entering the real estate field last month, Nash built and restored homes throughout the South Shore as a general contractor in his family-owned firm. He had also worked as a construction supervisor on capital projects for the MBTA, according to a statement.

"Becoming a Realtor seemed like a natural next step in my career," Nash said. "As a builder, I had to understand what my customers were looking for and provide them with the best options available to meet their expectations. As a sales agent, I listen to my clients’ needs and provide them with the best service possible to achieve their goals."

Nash is a West Roxbury native who has summered in Hull for more than 40 years. One of 14 children, he graduated from Boston College High School, earned a bachelor’s degree in management at Boston College and became licensed as a construction supervisor.

He and his wife live in Cohasset with their 10-year-old son. Nash has performed volunteer work for numerous town organizations and is a director of the Cohasset Baseball and Softball Association. He is a member of St. Anthony’s Parish in Cohasset and St. Jerome’s in Weymouth, and also serves on the Massachusetts Department of Public Safety Board of Building Regulations and Standards.
