Francesco A. De Vito has joined Rackemann, Sawyer & Brewster’s real estate department.  De Vito will chair the finance, restructure and workout group.

He comes to the Boston law firm from DLA Piper, where he was a partner.

De Vito focuses his practice on real estate and finance law, representing lenders, borrowers, developers and landlords and tenants in a broad range of commercial transactions. He counsels financial institutions, other lenders and borrowers in all types of financing transactions, including loan restructurings, workouts and foreclosures.

A former co-chairman of the Boston Bar Association’s Real Estate Finance Committee, De Vito earned a law degree from Boston College Law School and a bachelor’s degree from Tufts University.
