Artemis Real Estate Partners of Chevy Chase, Md. has paid $36 million to acquire the former headquarters of Evergreen Solar in Devens from Hudson-based Calare Properties and Hackman Capital Partners of Los Angeles.

Calare and Hackman acquired the property in April 2012 and converted it into a multitenant building. The 392,000-square-foot building is currently fully leased to Saint-Gobain and a plastic molded parts manufacturer. LED lighting manufacturer Saint-Gobain shuttered its operations last July, the Worcester Business Journal reported at the time.

Artemis did not immediately return a message on its plans for the property.

CBRE/New England’s Bill Moylan, Chris Angelone, Bruce Lusa and John Meador represented the sellers.

Evergreen generated a political debate on former Gov. Deval Patrick’s clean energy strategy after accepting $58 million in state subsidies to expand in Massachusetts before declaring bankruptcy in 2011 and moving its manufacturing to China.
