Natalie Jacobson Former veteran Boston newscaster Natalie Jacobson has purchased a $1.7 million condominium in Boston’s Battery Wharf.

Jacobson, who spent 35 years at Channel 5 before retiring in 2007, bought the 1,635-square-foot condo at 2 Battery Wharf earlier this month, according to records from The Warren Group, publisher of Banker & Tradesman.

The two-bedroom, two-and-a-half bathroom unit was built in 2008 in the luxury development on Boston Harbor. Jacobson has a $1.3 million mortgage from First Republic Bank. She previously owned condo units on Huntington Avenue and Tremont Street in Boston.

Earlier this year, Jacobson delved back into the news scene by helping launch GoLocalWorcester, an Internet news service, according to news reports.
