A 112,000-square-foot cannabis growing facility was approved earlier this month by the Framingham Planning Board.

The board’s approval on Aug. 15 moves the permitting process ahead for Commonwealth Farm, which is planning the indoor growing facility at Eastleigh Farm at 1062 Edmands Road, the Worcester Business Journal reports.

The company expects provisional approval from the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission early next year and construction to begin in February. Final state approval is expected by next September followed by a fall opening.
