Following renovation of the 1920s nursing home and construction of a new building, a Jamaica Plain apartment complex has begun leasing 149 units and announced its price structure.
The Brynx, located at 201 South Huntington Ave., was jointly developed by Eden Properties and Samuels & Assoc. with financial partner Northwestern Mutual Real Estate, which provided $43 million in construction financing. First move-ins are scheduled in May.
Developers announced this week that the complex, featuring 68 different floor plans, will offer studios starting at $2,460, one-bedroom units beginning at $2,865, two-bedroom units at $3,540 and three-bedroom, two-bath units beginning at $4,515. All units have access to a shared roof deck, and many will have private outdoor spaces.
Situated on a 2-acre site overlooking the Jamaicaway, the project involved repositioning of the former Goddard House and construction of a new building at 221 South Huntington Ave. Amenities include an outdoor patio, indoor rock-climbing wall, bike storage and repair stations, outdoor dog run and lounge areas with TVs, kitchens, shuffleboard and workspaces. The complex is served by an automated parking system.
