Golf Town, a Canadian retailer, will be opening one of its first U.S. stores this month at a 22,432-square-foot space in Reading’s The Crossing at Walkers Brook.
The golf superstore is also opening five other stores in Massachusetts, as was previously reported by Banker & Tradesman. Golf Town will be moving into the space formerly occupied by Linen ‘N Things.
Golf Town was represented in lease negotiations by Peter Belsito of SRA Retail, and landlord Dickinson Development was represented by Andy LaGrega, principal of The Wilder Cos. in Boston, according to a statement.
"This long-term lease, consummated in a challenging economy, is noteworthy as it maintains Walkers Brook’s full occupancy," said Mark Dickinson, president of Dickinson Development. "Golf Town is a great addition to the center’s exciting mix of retailers that attracts both local and regional shoppers."
