Mark R. Haranas, president and chief operating officer of Framingham Co-operative Bank, has added chief executive officer to his title, effective immediately.
Elected to Framingham Co-operative Bank’s board of directors in 2000, Haranas assumed the position of president and chief operating officer of the bank in 2008. He will continue to serve on the board and also as a trustee of the Framingham Co-operative Bank Charitable Foundation. He also serves on the boards of Framingham State University Foundation Inc. and Project Just Because.
Robert P. Lamprey, chairman of the Framingham Co-operative Bank’s board of directors, will continue in his role as board chairman and treasurer.
A Framingham native, Haranas was a partner in the Framingham law firm of Haranas, Mayer, Jachowicz & Galvani LLP, and had served as general counsel to the bank for nearly two decades, prior to his 2008 election as president and chief operating officer. He and his wife, Susan, reside in Hopkinton and are the parents of three sons.
