This spring, the Harvard Graduate School of Design, in partnership with the University of Reading Henley Business School, will offer the Global Real Estate Sustainability program to help global real estate executives develop environmentally responsible and sustainable real estate strategies.
The program was created because real estate leaders are under pressure to reduce environmental impact and implement responsible business practices due to the escalating energy costs and dwindling natural resources, according to a statement.
"The Harvard/Henley Global Real Estate Sustainability program will make the economic case for sustainable development and retrofitting," said program co-chair and Henley professor Andrew Baum. "Offering a unique combination of European and North American expertise, this forum will examine sustainability from business and design perspectives – providing participants with a portfolio of global best practices that they can implement within their own organizations."
The program is designed for senior executives, partners, project managers and aspiring thought leaders who work in real estate investment, development, management and occupation.
