Deborah Heffernan, broker/owner of Avenue 3 Real Estate in Cambridge, was named Realtor of the Year by the Greater Boston Association of Realtors last night at an awards ceremony held at the Warren Conference Center and Inn in Ashland.

"Debbie is one of GBAR’s most dedicated members, and the value she brings to us is simply priceless," said Paul Yorkis, the 2011 GBAR Realtor of the Year, in presenting the award. 

Also honored were David Peretti, senior vice president of Hammond Real Estate in Brookline, who received the Andrew J. Hickey Distinguished Service Award, Andrew Sarno, an agent with ERA Key Realty in Medford, who received the Realtor Spirit Award, Janet Porcaro an agent with Keller Williams in Newton, who received the Good Neighbor Award, and John Torvi, director of marketing and sales for the Herbert H. Landy Insurance Agency in Needham, who received the Affiliate Award.
