Developers of the South Station tower have named Ritz-Carlton as the residential brand for 166 luxury condominiums and announced the selection of their interior designer and brokerage.

The Collaborative Cos. of Boston will market the condos on the 16 upper floors of the 51-story tower, which is scheduled for completion in 2025.

Jeffrey Beers International, known for its common-area designs at the Echelon residences in Boston’s Seaport District, will design interiors of the Ritz-Carlton Residences, Boston, South Station, developer Hines announced today.

Units will feature floor-to-ceiling windows, and the tower will include an indoor and outdoor amenity level on the 36th floor and a private park.

“The Ritz-Carlton is synonymous with luxury exceptionalism and is a perfect match for this iconic project in the heart of Boston,” Sarah Khalifa, vice president of mixed-use development for Marriott International, said in a statement.

The tower, which broke ground in 2020, is the first portion of a three-phased project at the South Station transit hub which includes an expansion of the bus terminal and future development.

A Hines executive said the next phase of the project will include life science space and housing, while dropping a previously-planned hotel component.
