A development scheduled to break ground in early 2023 will bring 70 units of 55-and-over rental housing to the college town of Northampton. 

Constructed with sustainably sourced mass timber and built to Passive House standards that reduce heating and cooling costs, the five-story, 110,000-square-foot building will feature exposed wood, high ceilings and rooftop solar panels. 

Resident amenities will include a roof garden, a community room and shared electric vehicle program. The 11-mile Norwottuck Rail Trail runs past the rear of the property.
