Where: 907 Main St., Cambridge
Owner: Sean Casey LLC and Hay Creek Hotels
Built: 1871

Nauset Construction has begun conversion of a historic mixed-use building into a 67-room boutique hotel in Cambridge’s Central Square.

Designed by Gensler Boston with architect of record Boyes-Watson of Somerville, the project is scheduled for completion by year’s end. The development is a partnership between Cambridge-based Sean Casey LLC and Hay Creek Hotels of Exeter, New Hampshire. The hotel will include two new restaurants, The Dial and The Blue Owl, French bakery Praline and Toscanini’s Ice Cream, which will reopen in its original, newly renovated location.

The original concrete and masonry facade is being restored, and a 4-story addition will house a two-bedroom penthouse and the Blue Owl rooftop restaurant, bar and terrace with skyline and Charles River views.

They Said It:

“This project allows us to draw on two of Nauset Construction’s greatest strengths – working with tight, zero-lot line urban infill sites, and the thoughtful restoration and repurposing of historically significant structures.”
