What: 99 High
Where: 99 High St., Boston
Built: 1971
Owner: Nuveen Real Estate

Visitors to the 99 High office tower in Boston will notice a series of upgrades to the lobby, facade and entry areas following completion of a $7.5 million project.

Boston-based Corderman & Co. provided construction management services for owner Nuveen Real Estate on the transformation of the 32-story 730,000-square-foot tower overlooking the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway. Building tenants include AIG, Marsh and FEMA.

Designed by Boston-based SGA, the project updated the lobby with custom millwork from Asia, a feature wall with stone sourced from Italy, double-height glass facade and a repositioned concierge desk on the upper level. The entry was relocated to the corner of Congress and High streets, and new street-level retail space has been added.

They Said It:

“We take great pride in this extensive building reinvention. It brings a new presence and energy to the world class tower, as well as to a pivotal high-profile corner of the city. Tenants have embraced the changes and are giving us very positive feedback.”

Matt Santapaula, project manager, Corderman & Co.
