Where: 37 North Beacon St., Allston
Owner: The Mount Vernon Co.
Built: 2019-2021

The newly-completed Arthaus apartment and condo project in Allston contains ground-floor space spotlighting the works of neighborhood artists.

In September, nonprofit Unbound Visual Arts signed a 50-year lease to operate a 1,100-square-foot exhibit gallery including pieces from 11 of its members.

Designed by architects PCA, the development includes a 5-story building at the corner of North Beacon and Everett streets containing 74 apartments and a 4-story building on Sinclair Road with nine condominiums. Tenant amenities include a roof deck, underground parking, EV charging stations, dog park and pet spa.

Members of the project team included Cranshaw Construction, branding agency Visual Dialogue, interior designer Superette Studio, structural engineers AKF, Odeh Engineers and landscape architect RBLA Design.

They Said It:

“We know from years of experience that a great design appeals to tenants and outperforms competing properties. Our fundamental belief is we want to be the best in any neighborhood where we compete, and we express that through architecture. PCA’s design adds new energy to a neighborhood known for its eclectic eateries, entertainment venues, and locally owned shops.”
