State Street Corp. has leased 510,000 square feet on 22 floors at One Congress for its new global headquarters. Developer HYM Investment Group will break ground this spring on the 1 million-square-foot tower designed by Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects. 

The open format layout of the office tower will enable State Street Corp. to lower its occupancy costs as approximately 2,500 employees relocate from the One Lincoln tower on the edge of the Financial District. 

 The 2.9-million-square-foot Bulfinch Crossing redevelopment of the Government Center garage property comprises six buildings, including a 45-story condo and apartment tower scheduled to complete its first units in spring 2020.
