What: Cloverleaf
Where: 22 Highland Road, Truro
Property Owner: Town of Truro
Built: 2025

Following seven years of permitting and a legal battle, developers have broken ground on a mixed-income development on town-owned land in Truro.

In December, The Community Builders of Boston and Provincetown-based Community Housing Resource Inc. closed on financing for the project.

Cloverleaf includes 43 units, 39 of which are income-restricted. The project includes EV charging stations, a Passive House building envelope and electric heat pumps.

A lawsuit by neighbors challenging the project was settled in 2022, clearing the way for developers to complete their financing.

They Said It:

“The groundbreaking of Cloverleaf is fulfilling an important mission of The Community Builders to build long-term, year-round housing options that meet the needs of families and individuals. Cloverleaf offers life-long residents of Truro and Cape Cod the opportunity to live, work, and thrive in their community, regardless of their income.”
— Rachana Crowley, vice president of development, The Community Builders
