Dorchester Brewing Co. has broken ground on a $3 million expansion at its Massachusetts Avenue brewery, adding a 5,000-square-foot tasting room, restaurant, 2,200-square-foot greenhouse-style tap room and a fireplace-equipped roof deck. 

Boston-based RODE Architects, which worked with the brewery on the original 25,000-square-foot buildout in 2016, also designed the expansion project which enables Dorchester Brewing to provide contract brewing services. 

The all-glass rooftop taproom will connect to a large outdoor deck with skyline views. 

Unused space on the ground floor will be converted into a new kitchen, while the iconic Dorchester roof sign will be relocated to the building facade.
