What: Four Seasons Hotel Boston renovations
Where: 200 Boylston St.
Owner: FSH Boylston Inc.
Built: 2022-2023

A hand-drawn mural, a toy closet for young guests and a new restaurant are among the updates to one of Boston’s two Four Seasons Hotels recently completed by Shawmut Design and Construction.

Led by interior designer Ken Fulk, the renovation project included a new black-and-white-tiled entry court, installation of new Italian limestone walls in a relocated entry vestibule, a toy closet and redesigned lobby that includes a series of smaller lounge spaces.

The former reception space was converted into a new lounge and restaurant, Coterie, including a zinc-topped bar with leather and brass details and a marble mosaic floor.

They Said It:

“The Four Seasons Hotel Boston is an iconic fixture in Boston, and our team was excited to be part of its transformation. Ensuring guests and residents experienced minimal disruptions while the hotel remained open during the first phases of the project was key.”
