• BioMed Realty has begun construction of the first phase of Assembly Innovation Park, a new life science campus in Somerville’s Assembly Square.  
• The project will include three class A lab and office buildings along with retail, dining and park space. 
• Phase one includes a 12-story, 495,000-square-foot office-lab building with ground-floor retail and fitness studio space, a roof terrace and penthouse multi-purpose room with harbor and Boston skyline views.  
• BioMed’s 14.5-million-square-foot life science portfolio includes 5.2 million square feet in the Boston and Cambridge markets.
