Three housing authorities in the state will receive a total of $2.23 million in U.S. Housing and Urban Development (HUD) grants for rental assistance for persons with disabilities.
The Brockton Housing Authority will receive $1.03 million; the Lynn Housing Authority & Neighborhood Development will receive $620,857; and the Malden Housing Authority will get $577,332, according to a statement.
The grants are part of the $40 million HUD made available last April to help public housing authorities across the country fund rental vouchers for non-elderly persons with disabilities.
