On the heels of a $6.2 million financing made public last month, RentJuice, an online platform that connects prospective renters, brokers and property managers to each other in real-time, has acquired Boston-based competitor Kahoots.

Kahoots has served the East Coast with a rental marketing solution since 2006. Kahoots customers’ data will be consolidated in RentJuice’s technology platform and users will now be able to take advantage of RentJuice’s product, which offers one-click ad syndication to 30 consumer websites like Trulia, Zillow and HotPads and features such as real-time listings sharing, lead tracking and paperwork generation, according to a statement.

In addition to providing local support by opening a new East Coast office, San Francisco-based RentJuice is cutting its pricing across the board to a $129 per month flat rate for brokerages with up to 100 agents. The company also offers RentJuice Free, a free product for property managers and landlords that allows users to instantly share their availabilities with partner agencies to shorten vacancies, as well as save time and effort.

With the acquisition, Kahoots founder Janak Sanariya will join the RentJuice team as director of East Coast operations. Sanariya brings more than a decade of experience in data management and a thorough understanding of key RentJuice markets in the Northeast, according to a statement.

"We are excited to partner with Kahoots-turned-RentJuice users to help advance their businesses, as we do every day with each of our customers, new and longstanding," said RentJuice CEO David Vivero. "Having a seasoned, knowledgeable team so accessible for our East Coast customers is integral to our long-term strategy to stay agile and prove RentJuice is the right business partner for rental industry professionals."

"Enterprise customers deserve close attention, which I am dedicated to providing RentJuice users in Boston, Chicago, New York and beyond," said Sanariya. "I look forward to continuing my relationship with former Kahoots users and putting RentJuice in their hands, which is the most comprehensive, efficient approach to the rental process available."

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
