A low-slung industrial building near one of Allston’s hottest corners has sold for $7.55 million.
An LLC controlled in part by local auto dealership magnate Herb Chambers sold 35-43 Braintree St. to an affiliate of multifamily developer The Mount Vernon Co. last week.
The half-acre property is mostly occupied by a single-story, 17,797-square-foot, graffiti-covered warehouse which city property records date to 1930, and backs onto the Massachusetts Turnpike.
The land is a short walk from Boston Landing, next to the year-old Trac 75 apartment complex, bought by a family office for $42 million in 2018 and kitty-corner to both the newly-approved Allston Square mixed-use project and a permitted but unbuilt project recently sold for $31 million
