Jack Conway & Co., the largest independent real estate brokerage based in Massachusetts has bought Vanguard Realty, a Brighton-based real estate firm. The move expands the Conway Cityside brand to including Brookline and Brighton.

In its announcement of the sale, Conway stated the merger is part of a larger expansion in Boston’s core. Conway currently operates 32 offices with nearly 800 agents across Eastern Massachusetts.

“We are very excited to be adding this talented team of Realtors to Conway Cityside and look forward to a very successful venture,” Conway President and CEO Carol Conway Bulman said in a statement. “Their deep industry knowledge and strong community ties make them a true fit to our vision and will strengthen our presence in Greater Boston and increase our ability to provide the best services possible in this market.”

Vanguard lists 25 agents on its website.

“This dynamic merger will bring Vanguard’s strong local reputation and innovation together with Conway’s market-leading expertise and service to more sellers and buyers across the wider market,” said Jim McGuire, new sales manager for both the Brookline and Brighton offices. “We are excited to be in such a strong growth market and aligned with agents whose tremendous resources can help us be our very best. This is a winning combination.”
