Senior Managing Director Brett Paulsrud has been named co-head of JLL Boston’s capital markets team, following a 15-year commercial real estate career in which he’s been involved in over $10 billion in transactions.

Paulsrud joins Senior Managing Director Lauren O’Neil as co-head of the team, which oversees debt and equity placement and investment sales.

Executive Managing Director Coleman Benedict will remain on the Boston leadership team and continue in his role as co-lead of JLL capital markets’ national investment sales advisory business, a role that he began in early 2021.

“After nearly a decade of leading the Boston Capital Markets team, the time is right for the next generation to step in,” Benedict said in a statement.

Paulsrud’s experience includes transactions in multi-housing, office, retail, hospitality, life science and mixed-use projects across New England, including financing for developer US2’s first two buildings in the Somerville Union Square redevelopment.

He joined JLL as part of its acquisition of HFF in 2019, and previously worked as a senior real estate analyst with JLL.
