Executive Vice Presidents Niko Skiadas and Dan Dretler join JLL this week as co-leads of its multifamily platform in New England.

The two executives worked together for 10 years at Colony Capital in Boston before Skiadas left in 2016 to become senior vice president of investments at The Davis Cos. in Boston.

At Colony Capital, Skiadas and Dretler completed over $5 billion in transactions including $2 billion in the multifamily sector.

“They’ve been on the front lines of the buying, selling, development and finance sides of our industry and can uniquely appreciate what it’s like to be in our clients’ shoes, because they’ve actually been our clients,” JLL Managing Director Frank Petz said in a statement.

JLL plans to hire another four members to round out the multifamily team, Petz said.

The hires rebuild JLL’s New England multifamily capital markets division, following the March departure of Travis D’Amato and Michael Coyne, who left to form a new multifamily practice in the region for Bethesda, Maryland-based Walker & Dunlop. The pair had originated $3 billion in sales, financing and equity placements.
