Jones Lang LaSalle was awarded a contract to provide construction management services for a 45,000-square-foot building on Boston University’s medical campus in Boston.
The interior renovation on floors 1, 2, 6 and 7 will accommodate researchers and medical technicians in the biochemistry department’s breast cancer research center, amyloid research center and cancer center within the Conti Biomedical Research Center. The customized build-out on four floors is valued at $7 million.
Construction work is expected to begin in March.
"It is a privilege to continue our long-standing relationship with Boston University," said Jones Lang LaSalle Project Executive Steven Wassersug. "Our team is focused on delivering high quality lab space that realizes tangible returns, in an effort to find a cure for some of the world’s worst diseases. We are proud to be part of their team, and be an innovative and sustainable leader in the real estate industry."
The construction team includes Senior Construction Manager Dana Griffin, Superintendent Jeff Burke, and Head Estimator Karl Ginand. ADD Inc. is the project architect and RDK Engineers will serve as the engineer.
