Sean Killgoar has been named an audit manager in KAF Financial Group’s Braintree headquarters.

In this role, Killgoar manages a portfolio of audit engagements, develops, supervises and trains staff, according to a statement.

Killgoar brings 12 years of experience in the public accounting industry to his post. Prior to joining KAF Financial Group, he was employed at Darmody, Merlino & Co. LLP in Boston as an audit manager.

A member of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants, Killgoar received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Stonehill College and a master’s degree in taxation from Suffolk University.

Killgoar is treasurer of the Whitman-Hanson Regional High School lacrosse club, an organization he co-founded. For the past seven years he has participated in the Pan-Mass Challenge.

Originally from Hanover, Killgoar lives in Whitman with his wife and their three sons. In his spare time he enjoys bike riding, coaching lacrosse and spending time with his family.
