Family-run bakery Kane’s Donuts opened its first Boston location today inside International Place at 90 Oliver St. in downtown Boston.

It’s the first new location for Kane’s since the original Saugus bakery opened in 1955.

The company’s baked goods have won a variety of national awards in recent years including being named to the list of top 10 donuts in America by Bon Appétit magazine and to Yankee magazine’s best of New England list.

The Boston location will feature baked goods hand-finished on-site along with the company’s giant coffee cakes, signature “Kronuts” and a special blend of Peet’s Coffee.

“You can’t possibly have a Kane’s Handcrafted Donut and not smile and be happy. There are no conflicts or frowns over a Kane’s Donut; our donuts are love,” said Chef Paul Delios, co-owner and manager of Kane’s, in a statement.
