Local banks continue to bring on new staff from banks involved in recent mergers and acquisitions, with Arlington-based Leader Bank hiring four former Century Bank employees for its business and government banking team.

“I am incredibly excited that these four immensely talented individuals are joining Leader Bank’s Business and Government Banking team,” Leader Bank President Jay Tuli said in a statement. “With their extensive knowledge and experience, Leader Bank will be able to improve our already robust municipal and business banking offerings.”

The new hires include Susan Delahunt, who is now Leader Bank’s vice president and director of government banking. Delahunt spent 16 years at Century Bank working in cash management and government banking. Leader Bank said Delahunt has experience developing innovative marketing and sales initiatives in Southeastern Massachusetts, and she cultivated municipal client relationships that resulted in portfolio deposits exceeding $500 million.

Anna Gorska has also joined Leader Bank as a vice president and director of government banking. Gorska spent 17 years at Century Bank, where she was most recently senior vice president of government banking. She helped establish Century’s presence in Western Massachusetts and New Hampshire, Leader Bank said, where she developed a portfolio of 120 municipal clients totaling more than $780 million in deposit balances.

Leader Bank has also hired Renee LeMoure as an assistant vice president and lockbox client specialist. LeMoure has been in the banking industry since 1985 and has 16 years of experience in lockbox services.

John Lavallee is Leader Bank’s new senior lockbox specialist. Lavallee has worked in cash management, lockbox services and municipal banking, and he previously led a team that promoted lockbox services to cities and towns to condense tax bill processing, Leader Bank said. The bank added that under his leadership, municipal balances at Century Bank grew to $3 billion.

Leader Bank was one of five community banks to collaborate with Burlington-based ZSuite Technologies to develop a banking platform to help municipalities with escrow payments.
