Massachusetts Realtors got a new slate of statewide representatives just before Christmas when the Massachusetts Association of Realtors installed its 2020 officers.

Templeton resident and Leominster broker Kurt Thompson, with Keller Williams Realty – North Central, was installed as the 2020 president. Thompson has also been MAR’s treasurer and held various other vice presidential roles since 2013 and is a member of the National Association of Realtors board of directors. .

As president, Thompson will direct the internal and external activities of the association, preside at all meetings of the MAR board of directors and executive committee, represent the Association at important meetings and business functions and act as the official spokesperson for the association on issues related to the real estate industry and local housing market, including authoring MAR’s monthly column in Banker & Tradesman.

Dawn Ruffini, Palmer resident and Realtor with Keller Williams Realty Pioneer Valley in Longmeadow, was installed as MAR’s 2020 treasurer while Stephen Medeiros, an associate broker at Keller Williams Realty in Dartmouth, was installed as president-elect. Outgoing president Anne Meczywor, broker/associate at Roberts & Associates Realty Inc. in Lenox, will be the association’s 2020 immediate past president.
