Boston-based Margulies Perruzzi Architects (MPA) has received numerous awards recognizing its workspace designs for Iron Mountain and Zipcar, both based in Boston.

Iron Mountain, an information storage and management solutions provider, relocated its global headquarters to One Federal St. from 745 Atlantic Ave. MPA’s design for Iron Mountain’s new space received the following awards:

  • CoreNet Global New England 2014 Award of Excellence, Best New Workplace/Large Renovation
  • IFMA Boston 2014 Best Practice Award of Excellence, Medium Project
  • NEWiRE Achievement Award for Networking

Zipcar recently expanded to occupy all six floors of 35 Thomson Place, 46,000 square feet in total. MPA’s concept for Zipcar’s global headquarters earned the following honors:

  • CoreNet Global New England 2014 Award of Excellence, Best New Workplace/Small Renovation
  • IFMA Boston 2014 People’s Choice Award
  • IIDA New England Chapter 2014 Interior Design Award, Best Office Category (30,000-80,000 SF) and People’s Choice Award
