RealTrends, a real estate brokerage analysis firm, has come out with its annual "The Thousand" ranking list for real estate agents, and Massachusetts agents made a strong showing.
The report ranks individual agents and teams across the country, with separate lists for sides and volume. Breaking into the rankings for the first time this year was Anthony LaMacchia of McGeough Lamacchia Realty in Waltham, which came in at 59 nationwide for sides by a real estate team, and 106 in volume.
LaMacchia hoped his agency’s inclusion would be the first of many, and he’s optimistic about their chances to improve. "We will make top 10 for 2011 and then I think we have a shot of hitting number one in 2012," he said.
Other teams with strong showings on the list include Brian Flynn of RE/MAX Results in Medford, who came in at 101 in sides and 118 in volume. Steve Cohen of Keller Williams in Boston also broke into the top 250 in team volume, coming in at number 236 with sales of $41 million, while Scott O’Donnell of RE/MAX Real Estate Center in Foxboro ranked 154 for sides.
On the individual volume list, Coldwell Banker made a strong showing, with 8 of the 10 Bay state agents in the top 250 being Coldwell agents, including the two who broke the top 100. Waltham-based Hans Brings and Gail Roberts in Cambridge, came in at 82 and 86, each with more than $60 million in volume. The others who made into the top 250 were Sandra Tanco of Kinlin Grover in Harwich Port, who ranked 145th with a little over $47 million in volume, and Nancy Roos of Redfin at 238 with $36.5 million.
