Amanda Maher has joined MassDevelopment as vice president for municipal services.

In that role, Maher will work with communities throughout the state on real estate projects.

Prior to MassDevelopment, Maher was a senior economic development specialist for the city of Somerville, working on the redevelopment of Assembly Square and Union Square, and on urban renewal projects. She has also served as a senior analyst for the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City and a Rappaport Fellow and the Executive Office of Housing and Economic Development.

Maher, a Somerville resident, has a bachelor’s degree from Boston University and a master’s in urban and regional policy from Northeastern University.
