James McDonough has been elected president and CEO of Randolph Savings Bank. He succeeds Jack Doyle, who is retiring.

McDonough most recently served as chancellor and chief financial officer of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Boston and currently sits on the board of directors of Century Bank.  Prior to that he served as president and CEO of Abington Savings Bank for 12 years, where he oversaw the bank’s growth from $225 million to $1 billion in assets, according to a statement. 

McDonough is a former chairman of both the Massachusetts Bankers Association and the South Shore Chamber of Commerce and has served on the boards of numerous community service and nonprofit organizations. He was appointed to both the Massasoit Community College Board of Trustees and the Massachusetts Housing Partnership Board of Directors by former governors.
