Engineering and consulting services provider Michael Baker International has promoted vice president Maher "Mike" Sidani to chief engineer of the company’s Northeast region.
Sidani will work with office executives and project managers, assisting clients and maintaining an active role in production planning, risk management and quality assurance on major strategic regional projects.
Sidani has worked at Michael Baker International for 20 years, most recently as director of project management and quality assurance, as well as director of engineering. He has extensive experience in managing the planning and design of major and complex multi-disciplinary transportation projects including bridges, causeways and highway interchanges. He worked with the New Jersey Department of Transportation as project manager for the Route 21 Viaduct Replacement and Route 280/21 Interchange Improvement projects in Newark, Route 52 Causeway Replacement between Somers Point and Ocean City and the ongoing Pulaski Skyway Rehabilitation project.
