Completion of a new 17,000-square-foot lodge at the Bousquet Mountain ski resort will enable the new ownership team to expand its off-season music and event schedule.

The Pittsfield resort recently completed construction of the new base lodge including a new year-round restaurant and bar with panoramic views of the slopes. The larger facility replaces a lodge that was built in the 1970s.

“We took it to the next level to have a space for private events and more music functions in the off-season,” said Emily Gabriel, design director for Pittsfield-based owners Mill Town Capital.

Operators expect the facility will attract bookings for weddings, corporate functions and reunions in the off-season, Gabriel said. They’re also planning a summer concert series and music festival.

Mill Town Capital bought the 115-acre property, one of the Berkshires’ oldest ski resorts, in 2020 and began the lodge replacement project last year. The new facility includes a food hall-style ground floor and multipurpose areas, and second-floor bar and restaurant.

The lobby includes a mural with more than 400 historical photos and wallpaper-style newspaper clips, and communal and multi-purpose spaces for visitors and skiers.
