Callahan Inc. recently broke ground on a 62-unit senior living community in Wayland known as the Carriage House at Lee’s Farm.
Callahan Inc. is serving as the general contractor on the project and will perform all site work. The two-story, wood framed structure is approximately 54,000 square feet. The project will include a mix of studios, one- and two-bedroom units. Once complete, 33 of the units will be dedicated to assisted-living residents and 29 units on the first floor will be dedicated to memory loss residents.
The Carriage House will offer common and private dining rooms, a café, fitness center, sunroom, library and barber shop.
Traditional apartments will include kitchenettes, television, Internet and phone access. Some apartments will feature private and semi-private apartments in a separate and secure environment for individuals with Alzheimer’s and other memory impairments.
Construction is expected to be completed by fall 2013.
