Craft brewer Night Shift Brewing of Everett has received a $700,000 loan from MassDevelopment to expand and relocate its facilities.

The brewery is moving this spring from a 3,000-square-foot space on Charlton Street to a 16,000-square-foot facility at 87 Santilli Highway. Night Shift will use the loan proceeds to buy equipment and renovate the building, which will house its brewing operations and a tasting room, and expand its production capacity.

The company was founded in March 2012 by Robert Burns, Michael O’Mara, and Michael Oxton. Its beers are currently available in retail stores, bars and restaurants in Greater Boston. It also has exported to Denmark and plans to expand its overseas distribution.

"Night Shift Brewing shows how with hard work and creativity, Massachusetts entrepreneurs can transform their passion into a profession," MassDevelopment President and CEO Marty Jones said in a statement. "We’re pleased to invest in Night Shift’s expansion in a Gateway City, helping the company meet demand and share its creation around the Commonwealth and beyond."
