Nova Biomedical Corp. has acquired 165 Lexington Road in Billerica from KS Partners for $1.6 million.

Waltham-based Nova Biomedical develops blood-testing analyzers. It will occupy the entire first floor of the 80,000-square-foot office and flex building. The acquisition complements Nova’s existing Billerica location at 39 Manning Road, an 80,000-square-foot flex building that the company bought in 2011. Nova also has manufacturing facilities in Waltham and Taiwan.

The building was sold through auction.com on behalf of Woburn-based KS Partners. Avison Young’s Jack Kerrigan and Virginia Kerrigan represented Nova in the sale and will market 50,000 square feet of available space on the second floor, along with Colin Whitney of Avison Young’s Boston office.

"After evaluating various market options, Nova determined that the purchase of 165 Lexington Road best aligned with its business objectives of continued growth and investment," Kerrigan said in a statement.
