The designers of Logan Airport’s Terminal A now have a Boston footprint.
New York City-based architecture firm HOK announced Tuesday that it had opened a new studio in the city’s Leather District, led by newly-hired Tom Grimble.
“We have deep roots and relationships across New England and see tremendous opportunities for further growth,” Carl Galioto, HOK’s president and managing principal of the Northeast practice, said in a statement. “We are excited about the prospects this studio will provide for our people, clients and firm. I know we will accomplish wonderful things under Tom’s leadership.”
Grimble is a longtime presence in Greater Boston’s architecture community and specializes in lab design, HOK said. Grimble’s LinkedIn profile states he was formerly the director of operations and senior lab partner at .
The office and its “growing team” will work on a wide range of projects, HOK said, including labs, higher education, healthcare, transportation and sports facilities.
