Mary O’Donoghue, a sales agent with Prudential Howe and Doherty of Andover, has been named Realtor of the Year by the Northeast Association of Realtors (NEAR).

The award was presented at the recent NEAR Recognition Gala, held at the Tewksbury Country Club on April 11.

In 2012 O’Donoghue was president of NEAR and chairperson of its board of directors and executive committee. She currently serves NEAR’s Treasurer as well as serving as a director and as a member of the Political Involvement Committee. She was also given a Silver NEAR Top Producer Award for exceeding 20 transaction sides and more than $4.5 million in sales volume.

Also honored at the event were:

Linda Early of Coco, Early & Assoc. Real Estate in Methuen, who received the Distinguished Service award;

Christine Andrade of RE/MAX Prestige in Dracut, who received the Good Neighbor award;

Linda Kody of Kody & Co. in North Andover, who received the Educator of the Year award for the second year in a row;

Martha Sotiropoulos of Perkins and Anctil PC in Westford, who received the Affiliate of the Year award;

Denise Olivares and Wil Molina of Coco, Early and Assoc. of Bradford who received the Unsung Hero award; and

Diana Pinkham of Connie Doto Realty Group in Methuen, who was named "Rookie of the Year."
