Boston’s newest office tower is fully committed more than seven months before completion following a large lease by a Cambridge tech company for its new headquarters.

Intersystems Corp. leased 420,000 square feet on the top 14 floors of the 1 million-square-foot One Congress tower at Bulfinch Crossing.

Founded by entrepreneur Terry Ragon and currently headquartered at One Memorial Drive, the company specializes in software used by health care organizations and recently surpassed $1 billion in revenues.

Banker & Tradesman was the first to report the firm’s closing in on the Government Center location for its new headquarters.

“We look forward to expanding into our new home in 2024 at One Congress in the heart of Boston, where our employees can collaborate and continue our rich tradition of excellence and customer success and where we are well positioned to leverage innovations in technology and healthcare,” Paul Grabscheid, vice president of strategy at Intersystems, said in a statement.

The lease gives One Congress two corporate headquarters as anchor tenants, following State Street Corp.’s lease in 2018 which enabled developers HYM Investment Group, Carr Properties and National Real Estate Advisors to kick off construction in 2019. Completion is scheduled for December.

John Barry, Peter McQuaid, and Jeff Landers of CBRE represented One Congress in the lease negotiation. CBRE’s Dave Fitzgerald and Tim Howe represented InterSystems.
